Today, i.e. on 16th October 2012, on the auspicious occasion of Ashwin Navratra, at the dawn, Shraddhavan volunteers of Shree Aniruddha Gurukshetram performed the sacred ritual of "Mangal Snanam" on Mata Shivgangagauri. For the purposes of this ritual Mata Shivgangagauri was shifted from Udikund and installed on the Dharmasan of Shree Aniruddha Gurukshetram where Shraddhavans carried out "Haridra Lepan" (applied Haridra to Mata Shivgangagauri). After this, She was bathed with lukewarm water and was then worshiped with Kumkum-Haridra, yellow flowers & garlands. Shraddhavaans present were continuously chanting the "Shivgangagauri Gayatri Mantra" during this ritual.
The most precious moment was when Param Pujya Bapu arrived while this ritual was being performed. Bapu himself offered red bangles to Mata Shivgangagauri. This opportunity of offering red bangles is now available to all Shraddhavan Bhaktas throughout the period of Navratrotsav.
Also, as being done every year, the 3 Dhwajas hoisted at Shree Aniruddha Gurukshetram were also changed at sunrise.
Later in the day, in the presence of Param Pujya Nandaai and Suchitdada; amidst the beats of dhol and the scintillating music of shenai, cymbals, conch shells and other mangal vaadyas the welcome procession of Toades of Mothi Aai (Adimata Mahishasurmardini) took place today at Shree Aniruddha Gurukshetram in traditional style.
