When Sadguru Aniruddha Bapu Makes Arrangements Before Trouble Arises
- Truptiveera Dicholkar, Mhapsa
This beautiful experience reveals how Sadguru Aniruddha Bapu always has arrangements in place to protect His bhaktas—often even before a problem arises. In such moments, events unfolding one after another are never mere coincidences; they are all part of the Sadguru’s precise plan. This truth becomes evident through the narration of this experience.
Hari Om.
I am Truptiveera Sudhirsinh Dicholkar. I have been attending Shree Aniruddha Upasana at the Mhapsa Centre since 2002. I am about to narrate an unforgettable experience of Sadguru Aniruddha Bapu’s grace.
The date 26th July 2005 remains etched in the memory of every Mumbaikar. On that day, the entire city of Mumbai was submerged under unprecedented floods. At that time, I was studying in the second year of B.Com at Model College, Dombivli.
It had been raining heavily since 25th July. My usual college hours were until 1:30 pm. On 26th July, when I looked at my watch, it was 1:00 pm. Suddenly, I was struck by an unbearable stomachache. I was confused and did not know what to do. Still, I somehow managed to endure the pain for about ten minutes while continuously chanting Sadguru Aniruddha Bapu’s Nama.
However, when the pain became completely intolerable, I approached my professor, explained my condition, and requested permission to leave early and go home. He replied, “It’s almost 1:15 pm. Wait another 15 minutes until the lecture ends, and then leave.” Despite this, I could not wait any longer. I informed him and left immediately. The professor then asked one of my friends to accompany me to the bus stop.
As I stepped outside, I noticed a rickshaw nearby. I told the driver my address and asked about the fare. Since he quoted an unreasonably high amount, I decided not to take it. Within moments, a car stopped right in front of me. To my utter surprise, it was my cousin inside. It felt as though he had come there just for me! I had never imagined he would appear at my college. In that moment, I truly felt that Sadguru Bapu himself had come running to help me.
“Sit in the car; I’ll drop you home,” he said.
After I got into the car, he took a different route. Normally, it takes barely ten minutes to reach home from college by car, so I was puzzled by the longer path. When I asked him, he explained, “Two major sewers on the usual route are so flooded that the road isn’t even visible. If we go that way, the car will definitely get stuck.”
Indeed, Sadguru Bapu had come to take me home in the form of my brother. My stepping out of college at the exact moment of his unexpected arrival could never be a coincidence. It was Bapu’s care that orchestrated these events.
I reached home safely. My mother gave me some medicine, and the stomachache subsided completely. By then, the rain had intensified, and all the roads were submerged. The situation worsened as water was released from the Badlapur Dam. A power outage plunged the city into darkness even during the day, and mobile services were disrupted. Yet, by Bapu’s grace, I not only reached home safely but also slept peacefully after having a proper meal.
Around 8:30 pm that night, a college friend called our landline to check on me. She said, “We all got stuck. With no transport available, we somehow waded through floodwater to get home. Since the sewers were overflowing, it was difficult even to see where we were walking.” She added, “It’s good you left college 15 minutes early.”
After hanging up, I was overwhelmed with emotion. Had I taken the rickshaw, I would surely have been stranded. But my loving Sadguru Bapu had a completely different plan for me. The sudden stomachache, my refusal to wait those extra 15 minutes, my decision not to take the rickshaw despite severe pain, and then receiving a safe, comfortable ride home in a car—who other than Sadguru Aniruddha Bapu could arrange such a perfect sequence?
I had no idea what danger lay ahead. In this way, Sadguru Aniruddha Bapu averted the calamity that could have befallen me, brought me home unharmed, and even cured my stomachache.
