Provision of Relief Material to deluge-hit needy and poor at Sangli-Kolhapur
On 3rd October 2002, Sadguru Shree Aniruddha introduced to us the ‘Thirteen Points Programme’ - a solution to many of the problems that be; may the problem be faced by people at the community level or an individual level. One of the projects included ‘Juney Tey Soney’, which translates to ‘Old is Gold’. The Juney Tey Soney project has become a channel for Shraddhavans enabling them to help the deprived individuals across the society. Through the project, Shraddhavans can donate clothes, books, utensils and other household items and accessories that are good in condition and which may help the needy and the poor.
Recently, a deluge badly hit Sangli and Kolhapur, the regions in western Maharashtra. By the grace of Mother Jagadamba and Sadguru Shree Aniruddha, our Shraddhavan friends from numerous Upasana Centres collectively and willingly participated in the Juney Tey Soney project. Everyone, regardless of their age or status, gathered selflessly to serve and contribute their share at the lotus feet of Sadguru Aniruddha.
Consequently, from the collection that took place on Thursday, 29th August 2019, at Shree Harigurugram, more than 17,000 clothes including t-shirts, trousers, blankets and baby clothes and other household accessories in excess of 7000, as well as grains, pulses, wheat flour, tea powder, toothpaste, etc. were provided to those affected by the deluge through Upasana Centres from Mumbai alone. Hundreds of volunteers helped in loading the material in trucks. Moreover, the relief material in the form of 3000-plus sarees, blankets, clothes for men, women and children was provided through other Upasana Centres across Maharashtra.
Also, recently, we have sent another batch of relief material featuring 20,000 bottles of concentrated water purifier, each of 100 ml, 2650 chaddars, more than 5000 clothing consisting of shirts, trousers, salwar-kameez, etc. to Sangli and Kolhapur. Interestingly, the chaddars are made from the cloth produced from another devotional service of ‘Charkha’, also run as per the guidance of Sadguru Aniruddha.
Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Bapu is always ardent about dispassionately uplifting the needy and the deprived sections of our society, and their welfare. Thus, Bapu's Shraddhavan friends seek the golden opportunity and participate in the sevas through the mediums that he has created.
