Sadguru Aniruddha Bapu clarifies the term Sharan

Spirituality says that we should offer complete Sharanya (Surrender to Parmatma), but the meaning of this term is often not understood. In the Hindi discourse dated 6th October 2005, Sadguru Aniruddha (Bapu) clarifies this. Bapu says that just as we trust our own existence and do not require any proof for it, we should have trust on the existence of Parmatma, and that the Parmatma always wishes our well-being. Even during troubled times, we should believe that Parmatma is bigger than our difficulty and that he will get us out of it. It is this belief that is the key.

अध्यात्म बताता है की हमें संपूर्ण शारण्य (परमात्मा के चरणों में पूरी तरह समर्पित होना) अपनाना चाहिए, लेकिन 'शारण्य' यानी क्या, यह हम स्पष्ट रूप से नहीं जानते। ६ अक्तूबर २००५ के दिन किए हिंदी प्रवचन में सद्गुरू अनिरुद्ध (बापू) इस शब्द का अर्थ स्पष्ट करते हैं। बापू कहते हैं, जिस तरह हमें अपने खुद के अस्तित्व पर भरोसा होता है और उसके लिए किसी सबूत की हमें जरूरत नहीं होती, ठीक उसी तरह हमें परमात्मा के अस्तित्व पर भरोसा होना चाहिए और परमात्मा हमेशा हमारा कल्याण चाहते हैं, यह हमें जानना चाहिए। संकट के दौर में भी हमें यह भरोसा होना चाहिए कि परमात्मा हमारे संकट से बड़े हैं और वे हमें उस संकट से यकीनन ही बाहर निकल निकालेंगे। यह भरोसा ही चाबी है।
