Complete Faith, Complete Grace — My Family's Journey with Sadguru Aniruddha Bapu
This experience illustrates how the Sadguru effortlessly orchestrates events when a Shraddhavan makes a wish, and if the appropriate time has arrived for its realisation. However, the Shraddhavan must have the sentiment, ‘All, each in my interest apt You will, yes! You will surely grant.’
First and foremost, I offer my utmost reverence to my beloved Sadguru Bapu (Sadguru Aniruddha Bapu). In 2007, I began attending Bapu’s discourses and Upasana. After connecting with Bapu, a series of remarkable experiences started unfolding in my life. I am going to share some of those experiences today.
Shree Aniruddha Gurukshetram is close to my home, so right from its inception, I have visited there regularly and occasionally waited to attend the Aarti. It brought me great joy. Once, when I was attending Bapu’s discourse at Shree Harigurugram, he spoke about the importance of offering Bael leaves (बिल्व पत्र) to the Walukeshwar Shivalinga on the upcoming occasion of Mahashivaratri. The offering was to take place on the following Thursday. Shraddhavans were to get this opportunity at Shree Harigurugram, and such an opportunity is considered wish-fulfilling.
Meanwhile, my elder daughter-in-law and son were trying to conceive. She was to undergo the required IVF treatment, but had some doubts about the reports following the treatment. Entrusting everything to Sadguru Bapu, I reassured her, saying, “Don’t worry at all; your report will surely be positive.” Just as Sadguru Bapu had said, I offered Bael leaves on Mahashivaratri and prayed to Bapu, seeking the fulfilment of our wish. When we have complete faith in the Sadguru, we are surely bestowed the appropriate. ‘May we have just the one complete trust – firm and unwavering – that it is the Sadguru who is the doer and the Sadguru again, who rids of trouble, of evil and all undesirable as such, and so He is also the Protector’ (Ek vishwās asāva purṭā, karṭā harṭā Guru aisā - एक विश्वास असावा पुरता कर्ता हर्ता गुरु ऐसा). That is exactly what happened in my daughter-in-law’s life. Due to Bapu’s grace, my son and daughter-in-law were blessed with beautiful twins. They had asked for only one baby, but Bapu graced them with two! Today, my grandchildren are eight years old. O Bapuraya! I am truly Ambadnya.
As I write about the experiences of Bapu’s grace, I cannot help but write and tell more. In 2013, my youngest son got married, all thanks to Bapu’s grace. As they didn’t wish to have a child soon after marriage, my son and daughter-in-law were planning accordingly. We were staying in Bengaluru then. I was of the opinion that it is better to have a child at the right age. That is why I prayed to Bapu to bestow his grace upon my son so he can make the right decision and bless them with at least one child. At that time, he couldn’t have afforded to care for two children. Once again, my Sadguru responded to my prayer, and in February 2014, also blessed my younger son with a beautiful baby. In this way, Bapu fulfilled both of my wishes, and this beloved Sadguru filled my life with numerous colours of happiness.
In March 2014, I suddenly began experiencing severe diarrhoea, and my health deteriorated. Despite taking numerous medications and trying various remedies for the stomach infection, the disease showed no signs of subsiding. Even after trying numerous medications when there was no improvement, I finally called out to Bapu and said, “Bapu, please guide me with a remedy.” I was so weak that I could not even stand. I firmly believe that Bapu is my ultimate saviour in any circumstance and would provide a solution. After praying to Bapu for a remedy, I took a medicine called Imodium. In fact, at this point, I should have sought medical advice, which I realised later. But by Bapu’s grace, I got completely cured within 10 to 12 days. In a situation where numerous medications had failed to bring any relief, by Bapu’s grace, that single pill made a significant difference, and I made a complete recovery. O Bapuraya! You are our source of strength, wisdom and mental strength!
Following my illness, in June 2014, my grandson also fell ill. The doctor recommended a sonography. From his reports, it was diagnosed that he had a small bubble in his bladder, and the only solution was to operate on it. The doctors indicated the possibility of a kidney infection. He underwent surgery at the Hinduja Hospital. It was due to Bapu’s grace that he was diagnosed and operated upon at a very young age, and now he is healthy. My grandson is currently four years old.
I am writing about another recent experience of Sadguru Bapu’s grace that happened in the case of my elder son. He worked at an international firm in Bangalore for 10 years, and afterwards at the same company in Singapore for 2 years. On January 13, 2017, he unexpectedly lost his job. The company gave him three months’ salary and asked him to discontinue work. Such a severe turmoil had shaken the ground beneath us!
Over the years, we have faced and overcome numerous adversities. With faith in Bapu, we believed this difficulty would pass as well. In this situation, our faith did not waver even a little. I promptly turned to Suchitdada with this issue. He advised my son to seek a new job in Singapore and recommended performing certain Upasana. My son used to do the Upasana regularly. In April 2017, my son secured a job at another company in the same position he held at his previous job. It was Bapu who took care of his child! Bapu not only got him into doing Upasana but also ensured he got a job in Singapore. O Bapuraya, we are truly blessed. Today, my entire family is Ambadnya, Naathsanvidh at the lotus feet of Bapu.
