Mega Blood Donation Camp 2016
After the delight of crossing the overall figure of donation of 1,00,000 blood units over last 17 years, this year the volunteers of Aniruddha’s Academy of Disaster Management, Shree Aniruddha Upasana Foundation and Dilasa Medical Trust and Rehabilitation Centre would be excited and all-geared for the annual Mega Blood Donation Camp, being held on coming Sunday i.e. 17th April 2016 at Shree Harigurugram, Bandra (East), Mumbai, and also for the Blood Donation Camp that would be held with participation of 45 Centres in Pune on Sunday, 1st May 2016 to support the Mega Blood Donation Camp.
In the previous years we have been successful at achieving the target of collection of 5500 blood units per Mega Camp from our donors. Hence to improve on it we have pinned this year’s target at 6000 units of blood and I am sure all the Shraddhavan friends of Sadguru Aniruddha Bapu (Dr. Aniruddha D. Joshi) would be more than willing to contribute in it as this is ‘the donation’.
Interestingly this year’s Mega Blood Donation Camp will witness participation from 31 blood banks and hospitals from across Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai and even Nagpur.
To help our donors 50 doctors and 35 paramedics from Foundation’s Medical Wing would be there for the whole day along with the doctors and paramedics from the participating hospitals and blood banks. But in case if willing-donors get rejected on medical grounds we have arranged for them to perform ‘Charkha Seva’, which in itself is ‘donation of efforts’.
I heartily acknowledge participation of all the donors who have participated in our earlier blood donation camps held since the year 1999. I am sure, for all of those Shraddhavans for whom it would be possible to donate their blood would participate in this important activity and deliver on their devotional and social responsibility.
