Let us all salute our brave soldiers! Tricolour for Unity…

A day before yesterday when I happened to see the news it was a moment of disgrace for me to see a soldier, a war veteran like Maj. Gen. (Retd.) G.D. Bakshi in tears. A debate on the Union Government’s decision to hoist the national flag in campuses of education institution managed or funded by the government was being held in the midst of the news. It is a matter of shame that some people in this debate and across the nation have problems with flying our tricolor.

While on the debate, Maj. Gen. (Retd.) G.D. Bakshi got emotional recounting the bravery and the sacrifice the soldiers have made for this great country. As a citizen of this nation I am very much grateful to the sacrifices made by our brave soldiers. We shall detest everything that insults our soldiers who fight every day to give us a safe country to live in.

It is the practice laid down in our ‘family’ by Dr. Aniruddha Joshi to stand up in respect and bow to any soldier martyred for the nation. And we the people of India should not forget that the history gets created by warriors and soldiers, not by ‘pseudo-intellectuals’.

With a detailed analysis of the current-day situation, Dr. Aniruddha D. Joshi has authored a book titled The Third World War’ published in the year 2006 which has explained the causes, progress and alliances in the war which would be fought on the global-scale and which now looks eminent owing to the polarization that is being experienced by all the nations, people and ethnicities.

Sensing the approaching yet a veiled Third World War, Dr. Aniruddha D. Joshi has conceptualized Aniruddha’s Academy of Disaster Management, an NGO providing free training in disaster management to any Indian. Today under the aegis of this organization about 70,000 DMVs or Disaster Management Volunteers have been trained. On regular basis these volunteers have been assisting police and various government authorities and are ready to work with para-military and armed forces of the nation if required. Dr. Aniruddha D. Joshi has instilled a strong and intense ‘soldier-spirit’ in all his DMVs and his friends. Moreover his friends like me and lakhs of other take pride and treat ourselves as soldiers for a cause and for the nation.

We have not forgotten and will never forget the wars of 1947, 1965, 1971 and 1999 that imposed on us but which ultimately resulted in our victories. Hence I would once again like to reiterate our support for Maj. Gen. (Retd.) G.D. Bakshi and each and every warrior who is fighting or has fallen for this great nation, our motherland India – ‘Bharat Mata’.
