Congratulations to the Indian junior hockey team for winning the final of the 8th Asia cup on 22nd November 2015 in Malaysia.
The team began the campaign on a winning note by defeating Japan 2-1, followed by a close match with host Malaysia. India drubbed Oman 9-0 in the quarterfinals and then beat Japan 6-1 in the semi-finals.
Drag-flicker Harmanpreet Singh with 15 goals was awarded the Top Scorer of the Tournament and he scored 4 of the 6 goals in the final.
Indian goalkeeper Vikas Dahiya proved his mettle as opposition sides could barely find the board and he took the Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament award.

This was a great win by the team who emerged dominant throughout the tournament and managed to crush all opponents including arch rivals Pakistan.
Their triumphant return was celebrated by fans and officials who gathered on Monday night to receive the players at the airport with drums and garlands.
We once again wish congratulations to our team and pray to AAI Jagadamba (Durga) (Mahishasurmardini) for their continued success in the future.
