Dhangad Dhinga Shibir
The 'Dhangad Dhinga Shibir' is conducted under the aegis of Shri Sai Samarth Vidnyan Prabodhini, and is exclusively for the children in the age group of 9 to 12 years.
It has been seen that many a time children spend their vacations watching television, video games, movies, etc. which actually amounts to waste of time. During school days they are tied up in the daily routine of school, classes, tuition etc., as a result of which their skills and talent remain unexplored. The need was, therefore, felt for having a proactive alternative that would wean children away from television, videogames, and computer and help them to discover their latent talent. Children have a great capacity to absorb new ideas and skill sets that are appropriate for their age. What they miss out at this age is very difficult for them to pick up once they grow older.
Dhangad Dhinga Shibir is being conducted as a CHILDREN DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME and has been designed in a manner wherein hidden qualities of the children are explored, by use of such means as play way methods, spiritual awakening, mental exercises, sporting activities, etc..
The Dhangad Dhinga Shibir is a 15 day course held during the summer vacations.
The selection of children starts a month before the commencement of the shibir. Nearly 1000 applications are screened and about 150 children are selected. The fee of the shibir is minimal so that children from all strata of the society can take the benefit of the shibir.
The shibir includes various indoor and outdoor activities, brain storming sessions, memory and audio visual games.

The spiritual component of the shibir comprises of daily chanting of Maruti Stotra and Ram Raksha Stotra. During the shibir the children start loving the recitations of the stotras and somewhere this gets rooted in their mind and effortlessly becomes part of their daily routine.
Much thought is given to the importance of a wholesome and balanced diet. Therefore, during the shibir the children are provided with nutritious, delicious and wholesome food.
Medical facilities are also provided throughout the shibir to all the children.
The special attraction of the shibir is the 'chocolate handi' wherein the children form a human pyramid and break the handi; very similar to that performed during Krishna Janmashtami celebrations. Even girl participants proactively take part in the activity.
