July 2019

Hari Om Friend,

‘Shri Gurucharanamas’, the holy period of one month begins on the full moon day when Vata Pournima is celebrated during the third month of Vedic calendar namely Jyeshta Maas and concludes on the full moon day when GuruPournima is celebrated during the fourth Vedic month, the Ashadha Maas.

Shree Gurucharanamas is considered as a period of festivity. This period is an opportunity for us to train our ever-wavering mind and guide it to Bhakti and Seva. This is also a period of praying to Hanumanji and expressing gratitude towards Him for playing an active role in our life.

In the year 1997, Bapu told his Shraddhavan friends to chant the Hanuman Chalisa 108 times within 24 hours at least once during this period. He emphasized that such recitation provides us protection from bad vibrations, unforeseen problems, evil forces, etc. for the entire period of next one year. Moreover, it enhances faith, endurance and confidence. It also helps us to accomplish tasks in our lives quite easily.

The benefits derived from such recitation are multifold.

Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Chalisa Recitation (Pathan)

Shree Aniruddha Upasana Foundation

Many Shraddhavan japaks participated in the pathan for the entire day starting from 9 am till 9 pm at night. Apart from this, many other Shraddhavans participated in the pathan for shorter durations throughout the day.

The Aniruddha Chalisa is written by Shri Adya Pipadada Pipadada, a very ardent follower of Bapu. Shraddhavans who love Bapu as their Sadguru, have got real life experience exactly as mentioned in the first para of the chalisa. It says ‘Shri Sadguru Sumiran Bala, Saba kachu karat Suhai, Aniruddha naam ki rattan lagai, tuta gayi dukh ki dori’ (श्री सद्गुरू सुमीरन बल, सब कछु करत सुहाइ, अनिरुद्ध नाम कि रटन लगाई तूट गयी दुःख की डोरी). It means, just by repeatedly chanting Sadguru’s name, all the worries, all the problems of the Shraddhavans are resolved by his grace.

It is due to sheer love and devotion towards their Sadguru that Sharaddhavans remember him by chanting his name by reciting Aniruddha Chalisa etc. Hence, the annual Aniruddha Chalisa pathan is an opportunity for every Shraddhavan to participate in the recitation and seek his love and blessings.

Aniruddha Bhaktibhav Chaitanya Teaser

This month, Shraddhavans witnessed the launch of a teaser and a trailer of the Aniruddha Bhaktibhav Chaitanya, a grand-programme of Devotional Satsang, based on the Abhangas composed on Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Bapu.

Shraddhavans experience the unconditional love of Sadguru Aniruddha in every moment of their day to day lives and are always eager to experience more. The “Aniruddha Bhaktibhav Chaitanya” as the name suggests, is a golden opportunity for Shraddhavan’s to get drenched in the Love and Devotion Sentience of our Sadguru. The Abhangs from Pipasa and other compositions help us to connect with Sadguru. The compositions are so simple yet lucid, many times they bring out similar feelings that we have for Bapu.

To gear up the spirit of Shraddhavans, albums of Pipasa 1 and Pipasa 2 were also launched in Gujarati and Hindi respectively on Aniruddha Bhajan Music App for the convenience of Bahubhaashik Shraddhavans. Aniruddha Bhajan App is now available on Android and iOS devices. We can download the albums on mobile and can also enjoy them in offline mode. This has made access to Pipasa very easy and convenient.

Pulse Polio Seva

Pulse Polio is an immunisation campaign by the government to eliminate the disease of Polio in India by vaccinating all children under the age of five years against the virus. Around 17.4 crore children of less than five years across the country are given polio drops as part of the drive by the Government for polio eradication from the country.

In May 2003, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation requested AADM (Aniruddha's Academy Of Disaster Management) to provide volunteers for its vaccination programme. Since then, AADM has been regularly providing volunteers for the pulse polio vaccination drive. The DMVs help the local civic authorities in driving the Pulse Polio Campaigns. The DMVs set up the Vaccination Booths at the designated places across Mumbai. They help in administering Pulse Polio dose which is given orally to children. This Seva was conducted on 16th June 2019 across eight wards in Mumbai and its exteriors. 68 DMVs participated in this Seva.

Charkha Annapurna Seva at Mokhada

Charkha Annapurna is a unique project conducted in the tribal area of Mokhada to provide two square meals to locals. Mokhada is a taluka in Palghar district where large number of malnutrition cases have occured. The children and their mothers are victims of starvation that has led to severe health issues among them. Every village or hamlet is called as Adivasi Pada.

The first Seva was started in Gandhipool where clothes were distributed to villagers under the scheme June te Sone (Old is Gold).

Villagers were educated about ‘Charkha Annapurna’ - a project which provides food in return of their efforts to the villagers. A person has to earn food grains by doing some voluntary contribution of labour for a public cause. A person who operates a charkha (spinning wheel) gets grains (rice and dal) for the number of hanks submitted by him / her. Annapurna Prasadam (Mid-Day Meal) activity was also started, wherein afternoon meals are provided to school children free of cost. SAUF volunteers cook the food for children and serve the meals in school. 350+ families have been benefited by this project till date.

Volunteering in Mokhada Rehabilitation Project Shraddhavan Sevak Bhairaviveera and Dattprasad Joshi

The News in local newspapers in mid-2015 about gruesome reality of malnutrition in Mokhada Taluka caught the attention of Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Joshi (Bapu). Further survey and study of this news revealed awful realities of undernourished children and tragic stories of their parents. Bapu’s guidance and vision inspired the volunteers of our organisation to lend a helping hand to these villagers.

In Katkaripada village of Mokhada, the seva started from 29th January 2017 with the distribution of quilts (Godhadi). In February 2017, two Charkhas (spinning wheels) were provided to this village. Since then Bhairaviveera and Dattaprasadsinh Joshi are participating in weekly seva at Katkaripada village at Mokhada every Sunday. They are a working couple having a son and are among many of volunteers of SAUF who serve here.

Bhairaviveera is working with Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Maharashtra, in the Planning Department as a Research Assistant and is deputed to Nagpur since April 2017.

However, she continued to offer her seva at Mokhada on 2nd and 4th Sundays as government offices are closed on these days. They start their journey on Friday night from Nagpur and reach Nasik on Saturday morning. The family spends one day together and visits Mokhada on Sunday for seva. They return back to Nagpur on Sunday night to attend their offices on Monday morning. This seva by them is going on continuously since 2017 till date.

Recently, Dattaprasadsinh has been deputed to Papua New Guinea (a country located on the north of Australia) from his company for two years. Still, Bhairaviveera is continuing this seva. The devotional services of our organisation are possible only because of the dedication and commitments of volunteers like Bhairaviveera and her family. The base of all these sevas is bhakti. The volunteers perform the sevas in response to the unconditional love they are getting from their Sadguru Shree Aniruddha (Bapu).
